The 15th Annual African Festival, “FestAfrica 2017” will be held on Saturday & Sunday August 12-13, 2017 from 1pm to 8pm both days. FestAfrica will be held at Veterans Plaza in Downtown Silver Spring. 1 Veterans Place Silver Spring MD, 20906 (Corner of Fenton St. and Ellsworth Drive). The festival will be Free to the Public.
Afropolitan Youth Association invites you to be a vendor at FestAfrica 2017, the largest African Festival in the MD/DC area with over 8,000 people expected to attend the 2-day celebration. We will be showcasing African culture and heritage through music by local and international African music and dance performances, African cuisine, vendors, activities for children, and much more.

FOOD VENDOR FEES: All applications will be reviewed for approval.
$630 Registration will begin June 1st, 2017.
All approved food vendors are required to provide a $100 Cleaning/Safety deposit before the festival. This deposit is to ensure that the vendor space is clean at the end of the festival. Once inspected by the Vendor Coordinators the deposit will be refunded within three weeks post festival. Vendors will not be refunded deposit if they violate any Safety/Health Rules.
All approved food vendors are required to obtain a $70 food permit from the Montgomery County Health Department (http://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/HHS-Special/LandRLicensingSpecialFood.html), within three weeks of approval .
All approved food vendors are required to provide a Certificate of Commercial/Product Liability insurance with $1,000,000 per incident coverage.
